Beautiful homes, built in the locations you want
Chartford began life as a commercial property company in the early 1990’s, founded by Matthew Fuller, and soon joined by long time college friend and fellow Chartered Surveyor, Neil Clark, to create a thriving and well-respected business. Chartford began building houses only a few years later, when joined by major investor Norman Stubbs, whom brought decades of experience in the housebuilding industry, having first worked at the small Leeds builder Bracken construction (later sold to Barratts) and then co-founding and successfully growing the Leeds housebuilding company Tay Homes to PLC status and as a major player in the North of England housing market (before being acquired by Redrow).
Along with Norman, a number of former Tay Homes people joined, including Managing Director Chris Thompson, Finance Director Bill Hardie, Senior Architect Dave Allinson and several site and construction staff, including Chris Morris and Mick Laycock. Chartford have now successfully been building houses in and around Leeds and Yorkshire for over 20 years and pride ourselves in the quality of our homes and the service we provide.
We aim to build you the home you want, in the locations you love, so please, take a look at our current range of properties, from apartments to detached luxury dwellings, in some of the best locations in Yorkshire.
