Burley and Woodhead Church of England Primary School is a single form entry school and it is listed in the top 100 English state primary schools according to ‘The Sunday Times, Parent Power Schools Guide 2022’. For younger children, the village boasts several nurseries and pre-schools. Ilkley Grammar School is classed as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and it came 7th place in the top twenty state secondary schools in the North*. St Mary’s, Menston is also classed as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.
