Attractions

Lightwater Valley is the perfect place for those adrenaline junkies and is just 10 miles north of Burton Leonard, it is home to Europe’s largest roller coaster but also has plenty for younger visitors along with some amazing shows and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. If a quieter type of day out is more your thing though, then you can't do any better than Brimham Rocks, it's owned by the National Trust and offers some of the best countryside views in the area.

Transport

The A1 Motorway is a major road and is just 6.9 miles away, making journeys to nearby towns and cities such as Ripon, Harrogate, York and Leeds extremely easy. ​From Leeds there is the M62 and the M1 available which opens up access to the South and North West of the UK. Within the village itself there is a bus service daily to Knaresborough and Ripon which runs every 2 hours.
