The Architectural Technician will be responsible for producing detailed technical drawings and build models ensuring that designs comply with regulations and are ready for construction. They will work closely with the architects and engineers using CAD to create and revise construction blueprints.
This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse sites across the company’s region, contributing to the delivery of high-quality housing developments on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production of detailed technical drawings on CAD.
- Electronic archiving of drawings received from consultants.
- Liasing and co-ordinating with other departments regarding development works including Sales, Engineers, Surveyors, Buyers and the Construction team.
- Managing standard and bespoke house type ranges with building regulation and specification changes.
- Assisting in the preparation of tender documents.
- Site surveys.
- Developing design proposals using Auto CAD and traditional methods.
- Manage Building regulations including applications and discharges.
- Assisting the Technical Manager in preparing drawings for planning applications.
- Preparing drawings, plans and documents for statutory approvals.
What We’re Looking For
- Ability to produce high quality construction drawings and detailing.
- Proficient user of Auto CAD.
- Checking the progress of technical delivery.
- Experience in producing Technical Drawings for tender, Building Regulations.
- Knowledge of current UK building regulations.
- Highly motivated with excellent work ethic.
- At Least 5 years experience.
- Full UK driving licence (role will involve regional travel to sites).
