The nearest train stations for residents in Wortley are Leeds Train station itself, providing regular rail services to Edinburgh, London and just about everywhere else in between and Cottingley train station, running services to both Huddersfield and Leeds. The M621 and A6110 connect Worley by road, taking you into Leeds City Centre itself, up to the ring road or to the M1 and M62 motorways.

Founded in 1758, the Middleton Railway is a heritage railway that uses restored and historic rolling stock to transport it’s passengers. It is renowned as the world’s oldest working railway and it’s relies solely on volunteers to keep it going. It’s ideal for a family day out, boasting a museum and souvenir shop as well as the train rides themselves.
Wortley has a good range of local amenities including local shops, Asda, a substantial choice of public houses and no less than three parks.The neighbouring town of Armley also has a great selection of shops, a golf course and a museum.
