Saltergate Community Primary School offers education to children aged 3 to 11 and is known for its high teaching standards across both infant and junior education. St Aiden’s C of E High School has been classified as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in all of its three inspections and is now ranked amongst the highest achieving comprehensive schools in the country. Harrogate Grammar became an Academy Trust and a teaching school in 2011. The school has developed a specialism for language learning and is known for it’s fantastic facilities and exceptional standards of teaching, so it’s no surprise that is is hugely popular.

Harrogate Train Station offers regular rail services to Leeds, York and Knaresborough The A59 connects Harrogate with Knaresborough and runs all the way to Liverpool on the west coasts. The A61 links Harrogate withLeeds and both North and South Yorkshire

The Valley Gardens Harrogate are English Heritage Grade II Listed gardens alongside The Pinewoods which cover around 17 acres. Open all year round, the gardens contain a huge number of mineral springs, tennis courts, crazy golf, a boating pool and a paddling pool. You can also grab a snack at the Magnesia Well Cafe and if your visiting in the summer month’s enjoy band concerts in the gardens on Sundays.

It is also a popular wedding venue and features an impressive golf course, offering a short course and the 18 hole Hawtree course. The Great Yorkshire Show is an iconic three-day event and one of the biggest agricultural events in the English calendar. It’s held at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate and it showcases the best of British farming, food and the countryside as well as first class entertainment. It’s a must see event!

Harrogate Railway Station and the Bus Station also provide transport connections to the rest of Yorkshire and the UK, while the Leeds Bradford Airport provides international travel and lies just 10 miles southwest of Harrogate.
