Baildon is home to the Shipley Glen Cable Tramway, the oldest working cable tramway in the country and the recently restored Roberts Park. In July the town hosts it's annual carnival, there is the Harley-Davidson rally in August, a Scarecrow Festival in September and the Christmas markets in December. With such a busy social calendar, it's no wonder residents describe Baildon as a lively place to live.
Baildon railway station provides excellent connections to Bradford Forster Square and Ilkley, where connections can be made to the rest of Yorkshire and the UK. West Yorkshire Metro provides bus services in the area and the main road through Baildon is the A6038 Otley Road. There are four local primary schools and nearby secondary school in Saltaire as well.
