New Homes In Scholes
A Small Village To The East Of Leeds
Scholes, sometimes also known as Scholes-in-Elmet, is a small village between Leeds and Barwick in Elmet. The area is perhaps best known for "Chippy's Quarry", which originally produced the high quality bricks many houses in the surrounding area are built with. Today however, the quarry is no longer in use and instead, provides two small fishing lakes for the local area.
Scholes is also home to several shops, an off licence, two pubs, two churches and a local library providing all the key amenities you need right on your doorstep. There is also the Seacroft Green shopping centre and Cross Gates Shopping Centre within easy access and of course the centre of Leeds itself, which is only 7.5 miles away via the A64.
