Covering places such as Beeston, Churwell, Cottingley, Drighlington, Holbeck, Hunslet, Morley, Rothwell, Tingley, West Ardsley, Woodlesford and surrounding areas, there’s easy access to the city using close by local train and bus services.

Exciting times ahead also, White Rose Rail Station has been given the green light by the regional transport chiefs, meaning a new rail station between Morley and Cottingley will begin to be built in the near future.

If you’re wanting a fun and free day out, then Middleton Park is the place to visit. Spanning a whopping 630 acres made up of ancient woodland, a nature reserve, grass land, golf course and recreational areas really is a treasure of Leeds. You can even find Leeds Urban Bike Park which opened in 2017 and is a magnet for cyclists of all ages and abilities. Another fun and free day out is RSPB St Aidan's Nature Reserve – just a stone’s throw away from Leeds City Centre, the park really is something else. Whether you’re on your bike, on foot, riding your horse, you should always have your camera at the ready to take full advantage of the amazing views and wildlife

The Northern Monk Refectory really is a hidden gem in Leeds. The kitchen hosts regular takeovers from local Leeds food vendors whilst the upstairs is an amazing event space which is available for private functions, weddings and corporate hire. If you’re looking for something that’s a little out of the ordinary, then this is the place to visit. Located in the Brewery Wharf area of Leeds, you’ll find the stunning little family run restaurant Ciao Bella. Surrounded by cobbled streets, the converted mill has been restored back to the brick and steel and serves traditional Italian dishes throughout the day and evening.

The Royal Armouries Museum

The Royal Armouries Museum is a great day out no matter what age! Entry into the museum is free and you can find over 8,500 artefacts from the National Collection of Arms and Armour. There are six themed galleries to walk around, as well as the Hall of Steel, where the little (and big) ones can see an amazing tower made from glass and steel that displays everything from canons to spears!

Thwaite Mills

Thwaite Mills is one of the last working watermills in Britain and can be found on an island between the River Aire and the Aire and Calder Navigation. Here you can find out how they made oil, putty and crushed wood without electricity, enjoy a picnic in the sunshine or take a stroll to the engineer’s workshop to see how everything works.
