The village of Woodlesford boasts it's very own train station which operates 7 days per week and provides services to Leeds, Barnsley, Sheffield, Wakefield and Goole. In the summer months there's also the Scarborough Spa Express train which runs on alternative Thursdays and connects the village with the fantastic Scarborough coast. For travel by car, the village is also well connected to major roads including the M1, M62 and A1.

There are also plenty of picnic benches close to Woodlesford Lock and a number of family friendly trails including the very popular Gruffalo trail.
