Baildon has a lively history and a great location, nestled between the World Heritage Site of Saltaire and the towns of Shipley and Keighley, and within easy reach of the Ilkley moors and Haworth. Residents enjoy beautiful surrounding countryside, winding heritage trails, historic buildings and quite a few village quirks as well.
Baildon is also home to the Shipley Glen Cable Tramway, the oldest working cable tramway in the country and the recently restored Roberts Park. West Yorkshire Metro provides bus services in the area and the main road through Baildon is the A6038 Otley Road. There are four local primary schools and nearby secondary school in Saltaire as well.
