Wharfe Green development is located between the pretty Yorkshire hamlets of Thorp Arch and Walton and lies on the north side of an ancient bridge over the River Wharfe, close to the town of Wetherby and the village of Boston Spa. Thorp Arch has its own primary school and there are three other primary schools within a short distance offering parents a good choice when it comes to education. At the centre of both hamlets, the local pubs The Fox & Hounds at Walton and The Pax at Thorp Arch are ideal locations to enjoy a family meal or to meet up with friends.

Take a scenic stroll alongside the river to discover the independent cafes, shops and restaurants of the picturesque Boston Spa. You’ll find all your daily shopping needs here as well as a thriving community with amenities including a library, children’s playgrounds and a popular cricket club. The market town of Wetherby offers even more options for shopping, including a regular Thursday market and a farmers’ market offering fresh local produce on the second Sunday of every month.

Living in Thorp Arch

Thorp Arch is small village sitting on the north bank of the beautiful River Wharf. It is situated between the larger nearby towns of Wetherby, Tascaster and Boston Spa, while the centre of Leeds itself it just a thirty minute drive away via the A64. Thorp Arch has it's own local primary school, although there are three other primary schools just across the river in Boston Spa as well, giving parents a good choice of schools to choose from. There's also the local village pub, The Pax Inn which is described as a "hidden gem in one of the areas most beautiful villages".
