It’s perfectly placed for easy access into Leeds city centre, as well as escaping into some of Yorkshire’s best rural countryside. It is known for its fabulous community spirit, a trait it shares with its close neighbour, Guiseley. Menston also has one of the best local produce farm shops in the area, as well as number of other great independent stores, clubs and groups.

Salts Mill is an historic building in the nearby model village of Saltaire. It’s reknowned for art, dining and shopping and is currently home to a large collection of works by David Hockney. It also hosts events and exhibitions throughout the near and it sits at the heart of Saltaire, an official UNESCO World Heritage site.

There is a thriving community centre and over 20 retail outlets which are largely family run and include a Post Office, chemist and convenience store. The village contains its own medical centre and two dental practitioners. Wharfedale General Hospital is only three miles away. A number of self-employed traders work from the village providing services such as garden maintenance, motor repairs, pet sitting and dog walking.

It boasts a safe, village atmosphere and with excellent schools and the green open spaces of Menston Park, it is the perfect place for families looking to move closer to Leeds, but without the hustle and bustle of city life.
