Historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, the village lies 5 miles south west of Leeds and 4 miles south east of Bradford. Royal Armouries Leeds

There are six themed galleries to walk around, as well as the Hall of Steel, where the little (and big) ones can see an amazing tower made from glass and steel that displays everything from canons to spears! Charlotte’s Jersey Ice Cream

ice-cream farm is located on the edge of a little village called Whitley at a high point overlooking both Wakefield and Huddersfield. On a clear day, you can see for miles across the Calder Valley, so make sure to take your phone as there are plenty of perfect camera opportunities!
