Skipton is famous for it's outdoor market, selling all sorts of tasty treats including fresh seasonal veg and old fashioned sweets. But if you're more in the mood for formal dining, the Michellin Starred Burlington Restaurant at the Devonshire Arms Country House Hotel is where you need to be. If you want something a little different, try Hemingways Tea Rooms, which is located in an undercover tranquil courtyard off Skipton's main high street. Local residents enjoy walking, cycling, fishing, horse riding and even clay pigeon shooting out on the Dales all year round and for the days when the English weather isn't quite so forgiving, there is also plenty of sports clubs and societies to join in the town as well as taking a trip to the local cinema and the "Little Theatre".
