Baildon C of E Primary School is set in extensive grounds featuring beautiful scenery and outdoor play areas. It has also been rated Outstanding by Ofsted so it’s no surprise that this is one of the most popular primary schools in the Baildon area. Hoyle Court Primary School is another popular choice and is Oftsed rated Good. It is also well known for providing a wide range of outdoor learning opportunities and extra-curricular clubs. For secondary education, most children in Baildon attend the Titus Salt School which is Oftsted rated Good and is a specialist school for Maths and Computing.

Salts Mill is an historic building in the nearby model village of Saltaire. It’s reknowned for art, dining and shopping and is currently home to a large collection of works by David Hockney. It also hosts events and exhibitions throughout the near and it sits at the heart of Saltaire, an official UNESCO World Heritage site.

Bradford Industrial Museum has permanent displays of textile machinery, steam power, engineering and motor vehicles on show and it also runs an exciting programme of temporary exhibitions as well. The education team also host frequent workshops and events that really make this museum ideal for a family day out.
Baildon is home to the Shipley Glen Cable Tramway, the oldest working cable tramway in the country and the recently restored Roberts Park. In July the town hosts it's annual carnival, there is the Harley-Davidson rally in August, a Scarecrow Festival in September and the Christmas markets in December. With such a busy social calendar, it's no wonder residents describe Baildon as a lively place to live.
